Hey guys, I went back in and did more props, i revised my other props but didn't bother posting those yet because they need work. I did a few mini studies trying to figure out the neighborhood, and then a bigger study where i tried to push the shapes more to the laika style. Do you guys have more suggestions/changes u want me to make? I want to spend tomorrow doing a view like the big study i did of the neighborhood along with smaller views of it to do values for friday + Do more props and fix the other ones. Let me know what yall think!!!
Your props are looking a lot better! your style looks a lot more defined. :) If you decide to go forward with the sphinx head, try to play with his proportions more- his facial features look so evenly sized/spaced, and so does some of his structure. Make sure he feels like the material he's made out of-now he seems sort of rubbery and bendy when it seems like he'd be made out of wood or ceramic or stone. Also-try to give his face a fun character or mood.
回覆刪除The exterior looks good too! I like that you're playing with the fire hydrant! Your wonky shapes are nice, but try to join some of the larger shapes together a bit more, because your buildings seem a little like boxes in a row. Decide if you want them to feel scary or cramped or cluttered, and how you want Kate's stoop/building to feel- comforting? Friendly? exciting? and base some of your shape choices on that. It seems like it should stand out from the others somehow (that will be easy to do with color and light, but see if you can do it with shape or proportion, too)
